Karin Dschankilic leads the development of corporate services strategies, as well as provides direction and oversight for financial planning, financial controllership and management. With an incredible responsibility to Ontarians, Karin and her team manage approximately $3.3 billion of public funds. Karin’s oversight defines and drives finance programs, policies, systems, services and models within the broader framework of Home and Community Care Support Service’s mandate and mission, vision and values. Karin oversees all corporate support services and provides direction on the day-to-day internal operations relating to financial operations and systems, support services, including facilities, privacy and health records, procurement, purchasing, business intelligence and information technology.
Karin has more than 20 years of leadership experience in Finance and Administration. An analytical, innovative and results-oriented leader, she boasts an impressive track record of successfully managing financial operations and corporate services across a variety of health care organizations and the private sector. During the Community Care Access Centres’ (CCAC) transition to Local Health Integration Networks (LHIN), she was the provincial LHIN lead for the Financial & Organizational Support Working Group, setting financial and support services standards across to ensure a successful merger. Prior to her current role, Karin managed negotiations, performance and reporting for more than 100 hospital, community, and long-term care home accountability agreements.
Karin is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Professional Accountant and holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts, Commerce and Economics. She has also completed the Rotman School of Business Advanced Health Leadership Program.
